This year's Mentor Breakfast Thank You Event will be held the morning of October 1, 2025. Mentors will be invited to Troy’s North Gym or to join the livestram. October 9, 2024 event here. 

The 2025 Troy Tech Fair was held on Wednesday, April 22, 2025 featuring 430 Troy Tech Seniors and their Internships. April 22 Recognition Ceremony here.

Senior Internship Details:

• Summer Interns must start the first week of summer school and intern a minimum of 25 hours and maximum of 40 hours per week continuously until the 150 hours have been completed. Summer Interns may not interrupt their Internship tenure for vacation or any other purposes. You may not exceed an 8-hour workday.
• Any programs or out-of-area internship considerations should be approved by Mrs. Downum-Bonnett. Request the out of area Internship instructions by email troytech@fjuhsd.org
• Summer timesheets are due every Monday at 8:00 am (submit on Google Classroom at the end of prior week). Google classroom stream shows submitted internship documents and is updated each Monday evening.
• During the school year, timesheets and documents are due on the last day of each month on Google classroom.
• All program documents are available to students on Google classroom.

2025-2026 Senior Internship Advisors include Troy Staff: Blake, Darracq, Devlin, Echaves, Grant, Liem, Ngo, Park, Reid, St. Clair

Junior Pre-Internship Details:

• A junior requirement that must be completed in order to qualify for Troy Tech Senior Internship. The Troy Tech Juniors will been assigned Coaches who will guide this year of preparation. Pre-Internship requirements, handbook, and other materials developed by our coaches will be available to students in Google classroom and emailed to parents.
• All assignments will be posted in Google classroom and details emailed to you and your parents. Your 2 Job Shadows are due Dec 1, 2025 and Feb 27, 2026, but can be completed in advance. Ideas are posted in Google classroom. Please use the list of past sites wisely; the list contains invaluable professionals and connections to Troy. You can make your own new contacts too. Communicate politely and keep in mind that mentors are busy! Select a few to contact, wait a week, and follow up. See your coach if you have questions. Any requests to intern out of the local area should be emailed to Mrs. Downum-Bonnett.

• Wednesday, Aug 27, 2025 - Pre-Intern/Parent Info Group Zoom Meetings 6-7:25 p.m.  
• Wednesday Sept 3, 2025 - Student Resume Writing Workshop at Lunch
• October - Pre-Internship Coaches meet with students to review career search and resumes
• Tuesday, March 10, 2026 Mandatory Intern/Parent Group Zoom Meetings 5:30-8:30 p.m for 2027 Srs  
• Tuesday, April 21, 2026 - Troy Tech Fair 2026 Seniors – Pre-Interns attend during 2nd period
• Wednesday, April 22, 2026 - Mandatory Intern Lunch Meeting in Advisor Classrooms
• Monday, June 1, 2026 8:00 am Mandatory Summer Intern Mtg-3 Forms Due/Summer intern start earning between 25-40 hours per week, consecutive weeks until 150 hours are earned. Summer Interns may not interrupt their Internship tenure for vacation or any other purposes. • There is also the option for August 2026-April 2027 Internship term.
